holidays!

hi friends! (my trademark greeting apparently;)

so this week could have totally sucked cause Wednesday i had SO much to do...literally, from 9am-9pm i was running around taking tests, interviews, presentations, it was CRAZY! but i got everything done and because i prepped and studied so much the days before it didnt suck!

and thursday i worked and u should know by now how hateful i usually feel toward my job and how ive been looking for a new one but havent found one and ive been really frustrated...well this week and last week have actually been really good at work! now that ive cut down on days and my boss is getting his personal life together its really affecting how much more work he gets done. he kept trying to get me to do things cause he didnt know how cause his old assistant did EVERYTHING but wasnt there to teach me or anything...it was awful. but now i just do things i already know and like and im less stressed when i get there from everything else i have going on that i enjoy my day more. and its so fun with annie, sometimes we have to remind ourselves to be quiet cause we're laughing and having so much fun!

school is still sucking. seriously, from now until the end of the semester (which is soon!) i will be writing many papers and studying for many tests every weekend.

today i slept in:) and now im gonna run errands, including getting my bro a birthday present which his birthday is today! we're going out to dinner tonight and then im going down to annies for a taco night and to meet the new boy shes dating. should be interesting!

HOLIDAYS:
last year i was so so over the holidays. weird right? i love thanksgiving and christmas and all the fun during that time, but i was so stressed with starting a new job and crazy school of course, that up until the days before christmas when i finally had time off, i was over it. but this year my desire and excitement for christmas has returned! all these holiday movies and commercials and getting ready to decorate my house and see family and Lukes first Christmas and buy people presents and maybe best friend will be coming home! soooo many things to be excited about! i added the Christmas Tree application to my facebook and im overly excited about that too...its ridiculous! (everyone get one so i can give u fake presents and u can open them on christmas!)

1) EGG NOGG OR HOT CHOCOLATE?
i LOVE eggnog, especially with brandy in it and some cookies on the side. hot chocolate always burns my mouth and then makes it taste weird i bet if i had some high quality kind or home made or something itd change my mind...or with bailys irish cream in it! jeez, i sound like an alcoholic

2) DOES SANTA WRAP PRESENTS OR JUST SIT THEM UNDER THE TREE?
santas a tool!

3) COLORED LIGHTS ON ON TREE/HOUSE OR WHITE?
white on the house...however the last few years my dad hasnt been doing it:( and one time we put blue up until we realize it wa a jewish thing, haha. and we put all colors on the tree.

4) WHO DO YOU WISH YOU COULD SEE AT CHRISTMAS?

5) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY DISH (EXCLUDING DESSERT)?
mashed potatoes my mom makes from grandmas recipe. AMAZING. i like turkey a lot too

6) WHEN DO YOU PUT YOUR CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS UP?
whenever we can find a day where we're all home to do it. we have to make a appointment with everyone in my fam to make sure we're all free that night...basically cause me and andrew are so busy most of the time.

7) FAVORITE HOLIDAY MEMORY AS A CHILD?
when my moms family would get all together and my mom and titis would make a big dinner (including rice and beans of course) and everyone had a secret santa and we would exchange gifts and eat and eat and eat and then play with cousins and it was just really fun.

8) WHEN AND HOW DID YOU LEARN THE TRUTH ABOUT SANTA?
i was never really that into him to begin with, we tired hard to remember the real reason for the season in my family: mostly cause we're better people then u.

9) DO YOU OPEN A GIFT ON CHRISTMAS EVE?
of course! mom and dad exchange an ornament every year and they open those, and they pick a small gift me and brother get to open also.

10) HOW DO YOU DECORATE YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE?
pretty WASP like...lets see, white and rainbow lights on our ginormous fake tree, and we have a few sets of generic cosco ornaments that are pretty, and we have a bunch of special ones that mom and dad have exchanged over the years, or that me and brother made. and me and andrew used to always fight over who got to put the angel on the tree...shes pretty cool, she moves!

11) SNOW....LOVE IT OR HATE IT?
love it! but i havent lived in it in forever so i probably would be over it by then. i will say that if u dont have to work or live a busy life in the snow, its really pretty to sit by the window sipping tea and watching the snow fall. whenever i visit my family in canada and its cold, i totally love it cause im just chillin and i know its temporary...but otherwise i think id be glad to live in socal!

12) CAN YOU ICE SKATE?
cant everyone? but i only like it if its with a bunch of friends and we're just goofing around. or if a boy wants to hold my had or something like that...whatever

13) DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FAVORITE GIFT?
i got a lot of SWEET gifts when i was little...i got a ginormous doll house with all the furniture and everything for it (or was that birthday? dont remember). i got a barbie swimming pool thing and barbie fold and fun house. when i got older i got a really really nice reking backpack for my India trip and all my other future trips since then! i got a scanner one year which no longer works:( one year my family went to Las Vegas (sounds lame but it was so fun) and our christmas gifts were to pick shows we wanted to go see and i got to get a massage and go shopping and get money spent on me and that was our christmas presents! i love christmas!

14) WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT THE HOLIDAYS FOR YOU?
obviously drinking and getting sweet gifts. but seriously, i love how nice people are to eachother and i love how pretty everything is and i love seeing and spending time with fun family and long lost friends and i love love LOVE celebrating the birth of my savior.

15) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY DESSERT?
im a straight up pumpkin pie kinda girl. ive made them the past few years and i kick at it!

16) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION?
when my family sets aside one night and me and mom make cookies and we drink egg nog and we get out all the decorations and listen to Christmas music and decorate the tree and house and its so so fun!

17) WHAT TOPS YOUR TREE?
pretty angel whos arms move and she holds a lighted candle and has real wings!

18) WHICH DO YOU PREFER, GIVING OR RECEIVING?
i think i would like giving a lot more if i had money:( in fact, when i had money i LOVED giving even more then receiving...but when ur poor giving sucks and receiving is a relief cause now you can {insert necessity you've been living without due to funds}

19) FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONG?
carol of the bells. its so creepy i love it! but i love those old christmas songs about being away in a manger and hearing high angels and naming your son Noel. those ones are so good!

20) WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS THIS CHRISTMAS?
dont know yet, but we always have everyone and anyone over who wants to come...so usually my friends come over and Nicodemus from Sudan comes (but hes gonna be in Africa this year:( and uncle dan and titi josi AND luke! and sometimes our fun cousins from LA come with their cute kids and its always an eclectic FUN mix and i LOVE it so so much!
